FAQs

  • The “Make your own” classes are a 1 hour time slot, which will allow around 20 minutes of actual hands on glassblowing experience.

You will select from a “Make your own” ornament, pumpkin, flower, cup or bowl.

Please note that your piece must cool down for 24 hours. We will work with you to schedule a pickup time.

Our studio address is 4271 Morris Ave, Birmingham, AL. Please show up 10-15 minutes early so that you can be ready to go when your time slot opens.

Our instructor will already know which options you selected when registering. You will just need to select the colors you would like to use.

The instructor will be there at all times to assist you and answer any questions.

  • We offer: pumpkins, ornaments, small paper weights, small cup or wine glass, small bowl, etc. We are happy to hear from you on what you would like to make, but please note that many specialized, custom pieces may require several class times.

  • For the “make your own” classes, you will be in a one-hour class with up to 2-4 people.

  • Our classes are conveniently scheduled in one-hour time slots, accommodating 2-4 participants per hour. Please be aware that each participant must individually complete and pay for their booking. The classes are structured in 15-minute intervals, ensuring a flexible and tailored experience. For instance, if two individuals wish to attend the same 10AM class, both should make separate bookings and payments. One may reserve the 10:00 AM slot, while the other can opt for the 10:15 AM slot.

The same goes for a group of four. The group of four would book 10AM, 10:15AM, 10:30AM, 10:45AM, etc.

  • We love introducing young children to the art of glass! They are welcome to take part in the class. Children must at least 9 years of age.

  • You get to keep it! How awesome to have your own, handmade glass art.

Please know that it takes about 24 hours for the glass to cool down. You will need to arrange a time to come by to pick up your piece.

Please Note: we cannot guarantee your piece will get finished, but we will do everything we can to “get one in the box” for you. If you break your piece, we will try, in the allotted time, to help you make another one, or we can offer you one of our own at a discount. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that everyone’s piece will make it through the process, though that is rare.
