Glass Blowing Classes

Stepping into a gallery full of glass art is breathtaking, but there is nothing like entering a glass studio to make your own handblown glass. Glass & Grain offers you and your loved ones a hands-on encounter with molten glass, providing all the necessary tools for a relaxed and enjoyable time.

This is the perfect experience for a birthday, date night, anniversary, friend date or even a corporate office event in Birmingham, Ala.

What You Can Anticipate:
Throughout your scheduled class, you'll gain insights into the glassblowing process. You'll engage in each step of crafting your unique piece, with dedicated time for hands-on instruction to start and complete your selected creation.

Please note that your glass piece will need 24 hours to cool. We'll coordinate with you to arrange a suitable pick-up time.

Class Option - Make your own: 
The “make your own” classes have several options to choose from like make your own glass ornament, pumpkin, flower, cup or bowl.

• Ornament - $45

• Flower - $50

• Pumpkin - $57

• Cup or Small Bowl - $55

How to Book:
Our classes are conveniently scheduled in one-hour time slots, accommodating 2-4 participants per hour. Please be aware that each participant must individually complete and pay for their booking. The classes are structured in 15-minute intervals, ensuring a flexible and tailored experience. For instance, if two individuals wish to attend the same 10AM class, both should make separate bookings and payments. One may reserve the 10:00 AM slot, while the other can opt for the 10:15 AM slot. The same goes for a group of four.

Class Option - One-on-one with Instructor:
We offer the option of private, one-on-one glassblowing classes, offered in either 30-minute or one-hour durations. Enjoy a more personalized experience with hands-on guidance from one of our experienced glass artists. Feel free to bring your creative ideas to life. Please be aware that for larger projects, considering the purchase of multiple one-on-one classes may be necessary.

• 30 minutes - $75

• 60 minutes - $150

Other Details:
Please arrive at least 10 minutes early for class and make sure to wear closed-toe shoes and jeans or cotton clothing.

Please Note - glassblowing classes are not offered in the summer months due to the heat.
